The dry-leaf aroma is very calm and clean — the hush of a high-mountain forest, dried meadow herbs and a barely-there sweetness that recalls wild honey. The magic begins on the first steep: remarkable notes of fresh flowers, stone fruit and a light grassy tint that instantly refreshes. The liquor is golden and utterly clear, like liquid amber — pale, but very alive. The taste is round and surprisingly oily; it doesn't hit you with freshness but unfolds gradually, a soft bitterness giving way to deep, enveloping sweetness. Composed, harmonious and thoroughbred. The finish brings a pleasant light astringency and a long echo, the aroma shifting in the cup from nectar and wildflowers to warm wood and faint spice.
